"Affordable one star Michelins "

"Truly amazing Mexican, the salsa’s are unmatched. The steak taco is out of this world. Loved the tuna tostada the first time but the second time the fish was cut in an inedible way. They have a crispy rice that I would recommend to get whenever on the menu. The chicken when on the menu is also amazing! The guava margarita is one of my favorite margs and the cantaloupe frozen drink you can’t miss! Lamb barbacoa tacos were also very good but if picking one go with steak! "

"1 Michelin star 2024 Don't let the easy-breezy vibe here fool you. Oxomoco is a serious dining room, capable of great things in its wood-fired oven. The attractive interior feels like a resort, with a long bar, giant skylight to maximize the sunlight of such a narrow space, and outdoor patio. The room is lively and packed but always conducive to conversation. Tacos are the main draw, especially when piled with the likes of tender flank steak or soft-shell crab. However, this kitchen team doesn't stick to merely one dish or area of Mexico. Instead, they reach widely across a myriad of regions, always balancing abundance with fresh and vibrant flavors. The menu thereby tempts and tantalizes with such large and small items as the tropical hamachi agua chile and tlayuda crafted from smoky corn on a shell. Other standouts include the brined, fried and smoked "giant chicken." Apprised diners know never to pass up on creative and clever delicacies like the hoja santa curd, accompanied by roasted strawberries, raspberry granita, and finished with spicy olive oil. In close pursuit is the deceptively simple-looking carrot cake that is garnished with burnt cinnamon and flaunts a profound complexity of flavors."

"What is it? Michelin-starred Oxomoco (from the team behind Speedy Romeo) focuses on wood-fired dishes. Taco options include beet “chorizo," fish and lamb varieties. Why we love it? The food is serious and the atmosphere is buoyant and the whole place is a lot of fun. Case in point: Oxomoco has frozen drinks on its cocktail list, which many restaurants of this caliber can’t even. "

@yummymonday
"Loin des clichés, Oxomoco dévoile une cuisine créative largement inspirée des différentes spécialités régionales du Mexique. Surtout, le restaurant fait appel au barbacoa, une technique de cuisson caribéenne qui est à l'origine de notre barbecue moderne et où la viande ou le poisson sont lentement grillés au feu de bois. Ici, tout ou presque passe d'ailleurs par le four à bois de la cuisine, jusqu'aux fruits des cocktails – la Margarita à la pêche fumée est un incontournable."
